Ben Johnson
The start of the run Ben Johnson’s eyes looked scary. The two men were standing there and waiting for the race. There was a strong rivalry between the good guys and bad guys. They were having a race together, the bad guy won.
It was the final 100 m race, Ben Johnson got a good start. After 50m it was clear Ben Johnson would win. He won the Gold medal, he got a new world record.
Ben was cheating and he was using drugs and he went to the airport so he could get away.

The Olympic Flame
The ancient Greeks started the idea of having an Olympic flame. In Olympia a flame is lit by the sun's rays and stays alight until the games have ended. The flame showed the athletes’ fight to win.
Today the flame tells us about the light of the spirit, knowledge and life. The torch is still lit in Olympia in Greece, then it is carried by a relay team, until it gets to the city of the games. There, the cauldron will be lit and stay alight until the closing ceremony.
